New Players and Lessons Arranged

Parliament Hill Bowls Club were pleased to say they signed 5 new players last season and hope to welcome more new members this season. If you are interested in becoming a member please contact us.

Any person who has not bowled before is most welcome to visit us at the club and we’ll be happy to provide information and a free lesson  by arrangement.

We had some interest from the Crouch End U3A group who’s members came and played 5 or 6 weeks at Parliament Hill Bowls club, these groups are organised by the U3A they were made very welcome by our members and were helped and enjoyed the bowls, we are looking forward to them returning this season.

Bowls is a great way to keep active for people of all ages and abilities and it’s not expensive.

All you will need as a new bowler will be flat soled shoes that can’t damage the green. You can even play in bare feet if you want to. We can lend you a set of bowls whilst you are learning and getting used to which size is best for you.

The principles of the game are not hard to learn; and you’ll soon master the technique of delivery and drawing to the jack.

For information about our membership rates, please contact our Treasurer Brian, who will be able to provide you with all the information on 020 8348 6845, or you can use the contact form on this site.

To help new bowlers with their initial purchase of a set of bowls, we occasionally have second-hand equipment available for members at excellent prices.

2 rinks at our club are also available for public use every day between 10:00 and Dusk; and equipment can be hired. The current cost is £4.00 per person per hour. A £10 refundable deposit will be required for the use of the bowls. (prices correct as of April 2019)
